Software engineer at WarrenBelgiumLast updated:

Building

  • Starting at Warren

On 19 October I join Warren as a software engineer. They're building the financially fearless generation: a pension fund in low-cost ETFs, decoded payslips and coaching that makes money less scary. A product I'd use myself, so I can't wait to help build it.

  • Wrapping up at Codifly

Handing over projects, finishing what's still open and dotting the i's. Nobody should have to reverse-engineer my commit messages after I leave.

  • This site

Built and live. Now I just have to write those blog posts I keep promising.

Learning

  • Finance, investing and accounting

How ETFs, pensions and a balance sheet actually work. Hard to build financial clarity for others while squinting at my own payslip.

  • AI as a working tool

Claude Code, Codex and Cursor side by side, different models and workflows that hold up. Plus the fundamentals underneath: context, tool calling and evaluations.

  • Seeing what production does

OpenTelemetry, traces and metrics: knowing why something is slow before a user tells me. Logs alone are just a diary.

    The numbers behind the work

Side projects and agents, week by week

One bar per week. GitHub only holds my side projects; the agents work on everything. Each row has its own scale, topping out at its peak.

    --

    Agent clock

When Claude Code replies, by weekday (rows) and hour of the day (columns). A bigger dot means more replies.

    --

    Side projects by weekday

All GitHub contributions ever, by day of the week.

    --

    Token anatomy

Every token my agents handled, split by what it was for. Writing code is the smallest slice.

    --

    Toolbox

The tools Claude Code calls most. MCP covers every connected server.

      --

      Side projects by kind

GitHub contributions per calendar year, split by kind. The number on top is the year's total.

        --

        Languages

Code in my public repositories, by size.

        Where the commits went

Public repositories with the most commits in the past year. Private ones count, but stay unnamed.
